ROCHESTER, NY – Dixon Schwabl is proud to announce that it is has been named one of the Best Workplaces in New York™ by Fortune and Great Place to Work®, as published today. The agency ranked 30th on the small and medium-sized business list. There are five additional companies in the Greater Rochester area included: First American Equipment Finance, ESL Federal Credit Union, LaBella Associates, and The Bonadio Group on the small and medium-sized business list, and Wegmans on the large business list.

“It is our Dixon Schwabl employees we have to thank for this honor,” Dixon Schwabl CEO Kim Allen said. “Corporate culture has been at the center of our company since 1987, when our founders Lauren Dixon and Mike Schwabl focused on creating an irresistible place to work. To this day, it’s important to us to create an environment where our employees find meaning in their work and are happy. That’s why we’ve been certified as a Great Place to Work® for 15 years. Without our employees’ commitment to upholding a work environment filled with respect and empowerment, Dixon Schwabl would not be the great place to work that it is.”

To determine the 2021 Best Workplaces in New York, Great Place to Work® analyzed confidential survey feedback from more than 78,000 employees in the New York State or the tri-state/New York Metro Statistical Area about organizations’ culture, leadership, benefits, and other factors crucial to an outstanding employee experience.

In Dixon Schwabl’s survey, the company learned that 91% of its employees that took the survey said the agency is a great place to work. For the average U.S. company, Great Place to Work® says 59% of employees typically say their company is a great place to work.

Great Place to Work® is the only company culture award in America that selects winners based on how fairly employees are treated. Companies are assessed on how well they are creating a great employee experience that cuts across race, gender, age, disability status, or any aspect of who employees are or their roles in the company.

“Earning a spot on the Best Workplaces in New York™ list is an especially significant award this year, as the pace and shape of work has changed dramatically,” said Michael C. Bush, CEO of Great Place to Work®. “Leaders at these companies have showed exceptional care for their people. And this support resonates with all employee groups. It doesn’t matter what pronoun they use, their experience level or their pay grade: all people have a great experience.”

Dixon Schwabl prides itself on its six core values: respect, integrity, community, teamwork, innovation, and fun. This year, Dixon Schwabl implemented the option to work hybrid or fully remote after surveying its 100-person team and learning that a flexible work environment mattered to them.
