2020 MARKS YEAR OF LEADERSHIP TRANSITION AT DIXON SCHWABL

DS News / 1.16.20

After 33 years at the helm of Dixon Schwabl, Chief Executive Officer Lauren Dixon and President Mike Schwabl will step down from their leadership roles on Dec. 31, 2020, completing a 15-year succession plan.

They have proudly named Managing Partner of Communications Kim Allen as incoming CEO and Managing Partner of Account Services Jessica Savage as incoming president.

On Jan. 1, 2021, Dixon and Schwabl will officially transition to co-chairpersons of the agency, remaining loyally active and continuing to serve on a number of boards and committees across the Greater Rochester and Canandaigua areas. They will maintain ownership of Dixon Schwabl and continue to oversee all agency financials, approve corporate strategy developed by the C-suite and managing partners, and lead the agency’s community involvement.

“We are in the 14th year of our 15-year succession plan,” Dixon said. “We identified the next CEO and president five years ago. Kim and Jessica’s values are identical to ours. We are so lucky to have them on our team, and Mike and I have the utmost respect for and confidence in these two incredible leaders. It was an easy decision for us. Mike and I are ready for this transition — we’ve been preparing for this for 15 years — and Kim and Jess are ready for this leadership opportunity.”
