Lauren’s Column: Flexibility in the workplace isn’t a free-for-all
In Lauren’s latest Rochester Business Journal column, “Flexibility in the workplace isn’t a free-for-all,” she discusses the importance and necessity of flexibility in today’s workplace to attract and retain talent and protect employee well-being. She shares some tips on how to create and define flexible work arrangements that empower employees while preventing resentment and mistrust.
“It starts by understanding that flexibility isn’t about where your people work and how often they’re in the office. It’s about how you operate as a company: flexibly. It’s about giving people and teams the freedom, trust and resources they need to perform at their highest level—and also providing guardrails to keep everyone aligned and moving forward as one.”
