Jeff Zielinski named November Jaz Janie

Every month, Dixon Schwabl + Company honors an outstanding employee with the coveted Jaz Janie Award, created to commemorate Public Relations Vice President Jane “Janie” Argenta, who passed away in September 2009. Jane was a fun-loving, compassionate and hardworking professional who touched the lives of many.

This month’s Jaz Janie winner is Senior Creative Manager Jeff Zielinski. Even though Jeff is relatively new to our team, he’s felt like a seamless part of DS+CO since the day he started. What used to be a logistical nightmare for creative directors, overtasked “doers” and project managers is now an easy conversation with someone who has everyone’s back.

Jeff’s role is the epitome of the “help-me, help-you” factor that’s a critical characteristic for Jaz Janie. We think he might have been a guidance counselor or social worker in a past life. He adds the human touch to the daily grind, which is part of what DS+CO has always been about. He’s the glue at a time when we work from anywhere and are trying to figure out how to be more connected as a team. Any way you look at it, Jeff is in the unenviable position of aligning the right work with the right people. To sum it up, he helps us figure out how to get it done.
