At LeMoyne College, where Lydia earned her MBA, she won the coveted Magis Award in Leadership. After Lydia finished her internship here, we told her we wanted first right of refusal when she started job hunting. She’s a huge fan of mac ‘n’ cheese. Not the foo-foo noodles made with butter and topped with cheese breadcrumbs. Yech. Give Lydia the dayglo orange Kraft spirals, the original superfood for coping with any emotional storm. But if spirals aren’t handy, she heads outside. It’s how she relaxes, restores and rejuvenates. Hiking in the Adirondacks is the best. Glorious mountains, serene lakes and the smell of pine. What could be better? Lydia trained in Shōrin-ryū karate for nine years, three of those at a dojo atop a Tibetan mountain. A black belt by age 16, she later qualified for Nationals and Junior Olympics. She’s a bit rusty now, “but if I was ever in a horrible situation … say, a copywriter disagreed with me, I’m sure my muscle memory would kick in.”
