Julia Lowe

We are officially an international agency, thanks to Julia, our Canadian-in-residence. She’s happy to oblige if you ever want chat about her “home and native land.” *However, if you interrupt her while she’s working, you probably should say “Sorry.” Eh? Appropriately, Julia was raised in a bookish family. Her father is a journalist, novelist and author of the bestseller Conspiracy of Brothers, about a murder case involving rival biker gangs. Apparently, a new initiate used the wrong fork whilst eating his antipasto. Julia’s favorite movie: The Princess Bride. Why? Because it’s the best movie ever. Hello! Also for imparting important life lessons, like don’t ever get involved in a land war in Asia. When she got married, Julia insisted on walking down the aisle to the music that plays during the movie’s end credits. Julia, as you wish.

* For you non-Hockey fans, the phrase comes from “O Canada!”—the national anthem.

 Early  aspirations

As a kid, Julia thought she’d like to run a bookstore. But then she realized that after selling the books, she would have to part with them, so forget that.

 Oh,  Dear.
