The first paid TV ad (for Bulova watches) was broadcast July 1, 1941, over WNBT, prior to a Brooklyn Dodgers game. Total cost (incl. commission): $9. The second paid ad was for personal injury law firm Holmes, Ginsburg, Marshall & Finch.
