Back in April, Lauren Dixon and Mike Schwabl co-chaired the 27th American Heart Association Heart Walk and hosted a Media Challenge to raise awareness and participation at the walk. Local TV and radio personalities competed to raise money for the event. During a live interview on Radio 95.1 The Brother Wease Show, Mike offered an “Experience in the Tesla” for the highest bidding listener. The owner of Main Street Pizza Company, Vic Marchese, won the experience with a $500 donation to AHA!
Today, Mike, Vic, Chef Jason and other special friends had the experience of a lifetime and drove the Tesla across town.
Thank you, Vic, for your participation in this year’s Heart Walk! In total, the Heart Walk & Run raised $780,000. All proceeds will support the organization’s mission to build healthier lives free of cardiovascular diseases and strokes.
