Pete Wayner Named June Jaz Janie

Every month, Dixon Schwabl honors an outstanding employee with the coveted Jaz Janie Award. The award was created to commemorate Dixon Schwabl Public Relations Vice President Jane Janie” Argenta, who passed away in September 2009. Jane was a fun-loving, compassionate and hardworking professional who touched the lives of many.

The June Jaz Janie recipient is Content Manager Pete Wayner.

Below are just some of the reasons Pete was nominated to receive this honor:

Nadine General, vice president of agency nonprofit services: Pete is beyond creative. He is a masterful backpack journalist, with the DS Make It Happen attitude and aptitude, and a true team player. No job is too big or too small for Pete as he operates with grace under pressure and as if he has a clone. He’s most deserving of the Jaz Janie award!

Ryann Bouchard, public relations manager: Pete is special. His work is top-notch. His interview style is unmatched. Clients love him and regularly email Lauren Dixon complimenting his work. Pete is an excellent colleague, videographer, marketer, video journalist and friend. Pete is someone who I want to work with on every project because I know it will be fun and beautiful!

Connor Dixon-Schwabl, studio manager: Pete represents Jane’s spirit by always putting his fellow teammates first. His talent with the camera is tremendous but his humility and team spirit are what astonishes me most.

Kim Allen, managing partner, public relations: Pete is always up for projects and has delivered videos within hours. He is extremely talented and we’re proud to give him this award.

Julianna Monacelli, director of consumer public relations: Pete never says no. He jumps into projects with a can-do attitude and always goes above and beyond to ensure his finished product exceeds expectations. Pete is a genuine and truly likeable person. He is passionate about his craft and he can take something so small and unassuming and turn it into a work of art.
