Dixon Schwabl’s Nadine General and Kathy Phelps were recently honored by the Rochester Business Journal as part of the 2017 Forty Under 40 class of honorees.
Nominated by the community and selected by a committee of business leaders, the Forty Under 40 awards recognize 40 men and women under the age of 40 who have achieved professional success and made significant civic contributions to our community. The award has become a prestigious honor. Of the hundreds of nominations received, only the best of the best are recognized.
As vice president of agency nonprofit services, Nadine is responsible for managing and growing the agency’s nonprofit work, including donated and trade services. In addition, she is part of the agency’s Managing Partner Advisory Team, working on agencywide growth and development initiatives.
Outside of the office, Nadine serves on the PRSA board and co-chairs its Diversity Committee. Through her roles with PRSA, Nadine has been involved with countless events and initiatives, including spearheading the kickoff of the PR Apprentice Program for local college students.
Kathy is vice president of special events, leading the four-person team in conceiving and coordinating large-scale events and promotions for numerous clients, including The Strong Museum of Play, Lollypop Farm and Thompson Health. She is also part of the agency’s Managing Partner Advisory Team.
In her spare time, Kathy volunteers for numerous nonprofits, including American Lung Association and Rochester City Ballet.
Congratulations to Kathy and Nadine on this incredible honor!
