Jen Moritz Named August Jaz Janie

Jen Moritz Named August Jaz Janie

Every month, Dixon Schwabl honors an outstanding employee with the coveted Jaz Janie Award. The award was created to commemorate Dixon Schwabl Public Relations Vice President Jane Janie” Argenta, who passed away in September 2009. Jane was a fun-loving, compassionate and hardworking professional who touched the lives of many.

The August Jaz Janie recipient is Senior Copy Editor Jen Moritz.

Jen was nominated this month by the agency’s public relations team for being the ultimate partner. In their words: We aren’t exaggerating when we say that we couldn’t do it without her. She makes sure our t’s are crossed and our i’s are dotted, and she does it reliably with a smile. We joke that if we haven’t heard from her in more than a half hour we wonder if she’s ok!”

Not only does Jen quickly and accurately proof projects and documents year round, she accommodates the team’s many last-minute requests. PR is often unpredictable, but never once has Jen let the team down or shown any sign of protest. She’s always willing to accommodate her already busy work schedule to proof a crisis statement or press release.

In addition to her everyday proofreading prowess, when award season comes around Jen takes on a huge additional lift for the PR team and the entire agency. She proofed 50 PRism entries this year alone, along with reviewing submissions for the Pinnacle Awards and the ADDYs, all in addition to her regular workload. She is truly a proofing superhero!

Beyond her professional abilities, Jen has a huge heart. She is a banner example of Dixon Schwabl’s values and is beyond deserving of the Jaz Janie award. Thank you for all you do, Jen. Congratulations!
