Emily Benson Earns National Certification

The agency’s Email Marketing Strategist Emily Benson has been recognized as one of the first-ever 120 marketing professionals in the country to earn Email Marketer Litmus Certification. The company is a global firm specialized in email marketing, with offices in Boston, Silicon Valley and London and offers online workshops for email marketers and designers. Through the extensive workshops, training and final exams, Benson became a Litmus-certified email marketer and was recognized at the company’s annual event.

According to Litmus’ 2020 State of Email Fall Edition, 77% of marketers say email is one of their two most effective marketing channels. It also found that 78% of marketing executives indicate email marketing is vital to the overall success of their company, which is a 7% increase from last year.

Benson and her fellow participants are fierce advocates for email marketing because of the difference it can make for businesses. In order to achieve the certification, she had to create an overall marketing campaign strategy that includes multi-channel planning, audience segmentation, and goal creation. She also attended three marketing-focused workshops to learn more about how to tailor future campaigns based on changing customer experiences, tell a cohesive story to stakeholders, and work effectively across cross-functional teams.

As the email strategist at Dixon Schwabl, Benson leads email communication strategy for clients, focusing on best practices, and providing direction for designing, coding and crafting compliant and compelling customer experiences that drive conversion. This results in email deliverability to the right audience, at the right time, to drive engagement.

Benson’s certification will help support and grow Dixon Schwabl’s email marketing services. She recently wrote a blog post about why you should never use the term email blast.”

Congratulations, Emily! We are so proud of you!!
