Dixon Schwabl is pleased to welcome three hires to its team: Ted Wenskus as copy editor, Debbie Quick as director of first impressions and Lynne Tempest as account director.
In his new role, Wenskus will review drafts, layouts and printer proofs for specific clients to ensure correct grammar, punctuation and spelling. In addition, he will maintain client style guides. Wenskus has 20 years of experience as a copywriter and copy editor. He joins the Dixon Schwabl team after serving in a contract role since 2018.
Wenskus earned his bachelor’s degree in biology and English and his master’s degree in English from The College at Brockport. Outside of the office, he is an active member in his community and serves as president of the Rochester Speculative Literature Association. Wenskus resides in Greece.
As director of first impressions, Quick will be responsible for facilitating communications between the agency, clients and other contacts. She will support the agency with meeting coordination and a variety of administrative tasks. Collectively, Quick has 18 years of experience in administration, human resources, and training. She joins the agency from Accountable Digital where she served as executive assistant and office coordinator.
Quick earned her associate of applied science in human services from Monroe Community College and has received several certifications in human resources subject matters. Outside of the office, she is very active in her church where she serves as secretary, auxiliary president and participates on several committees. Quick resides in Victor with her husband, LeRoy.
In her new role, Tempest will be responsible for managing and growing client relationships, ensuring long-term stability and providing strategic direction to assigned accounts. In addition, she will manage budgets to ensure profitability and revenue, and contribute to new business efforts. Tempest brings to the team more than 15 years of experience in business-to-consumer and business-to-business integrated marketing. She most recently served as strategic account director at Helen & Gertrude.
Tempest earned her bachelor’s degree in communications and public justice from the State University of New York at Oswego. She resides in Pittsford with her husband, Andy, and their three children.
