Full-service advertising, marketing and public relations agency Dixon Schwabl is pleased to welcome four hires to its team: Mary Shepard as senior digital media manager, Alyssa Whitley as public relations assistant, Frank Procopio as research assistant and Alexia Georgiou as senior art director.
As senior digital media manager, Shepard will be responsible for the strategy and execution of digital media efforts for a variety of clients. She will focus on the concepts, trends and possibilities of existing and emerging digital media channels to deliver superior results. Shepard has more than 15 years of experience in the advertising industry and most recently was a marketing manager at Genesee Valley Pennysaver. Prior, she spent time with Gelia in Buffalo.
Shepard earned her Bachelor of Arts in communications from Buffalo State College. Outside of the office, she is active in her community and volunteers with Tri Town Youth Athletics. Shepard resides in Batavia with her husband, Jon, and their two children.
In her new role, Whitley is responsible for supporting all members of the Dixon Schwabl public relations team, including administrative duties, providing media clips for clients, and distributing and following up on public relations tactics. She joins the Dixon Schwabl team full-time after serving as a public relations intern. Prior, she interned with Helen & Gertrude.
Whitley earned her Bachelor of Science in media management from St. John Fisher College. Outside of the office, she is a PRism committee member for PRSA Rochester. Whitey resides in Chili.
As research assistant, Procopio will support the execution of client-commissioned research and manage Dixon Schwabl’s PeopleSpeak database. In addition, he will take the lead on secondary research, including conducting industry searches, scouring daily briefings and performing competitive analyses. Procopio joins the agency from KJT Group, where he served as a market research intern.
Procopio earned his Bachelor of Science in marketing from St. John Fisher College. He resides in the city of Rochester.
In her new role, Georgiou will be responsible for brand strategy and execution of all creative work for a variety of clients. She will focus on conceptual thinking, design trends and elevating creativity by delivering exceptional results. Georgiou brings to the position eight years of experience in the design and advertising industry. Throughout her career, she has spent time with Freshop, Bonafide and The Philipson Group. She most recently served as visual design consultant for her company, Georgiou.
Georgiou earned her bachelor’s degree in graphic design from Rochester Institute of Technology. She resides in Chili.
