United Way Bbq

Dixon Schwabl recently wrapped up its 2018 United Way Workplace campaign with a team barbecue, where the agency announced it has raised $10,320.50!

The one-month campaign was led by Dixon Schwabl team members Erin O’Donnell, Alexandra Hristodoulou and Ryann Bouchard-Guglielmo, who hosted fun events throughout May to raise money for United Way. 100% of Dixon Schwabl employees took part in this campaign to help make a difference.

United Way is celebrating its 100th year in Rochester. Money raised for the organization helps provide community services that make a lasting impact, including:

  • 5,200 kids with access to high-quality after-school and summer programs
  • 96% of babies born with a healthy birth weight
  • More than 230,000 meals delivered right to the homes of older adults and people with disabilities
  • Local kids attending thousands more days of school and earning GPAs one full point higher than their peers who are not in United Way programs
  • 100,000 local people with nutritious meals and basic-needs support
  • 10,000 people getting assistance with tax returns, resulting in more than $8 million in earned income tax credits back to the community
