Dixon Schwabl is pleased to announce that it has been selected as the agency of record (AOR) for Buffalo Niagara Waterkeeper’s Buffalo Blueway project. The public access project for this community-based nonprofit organization protects and restores waters and their surrounding ecosystems for current and future generations.

For 30 years, Buffalo Niagara Waterkeeper has been the guardian of Western New York’s fresh water, protecting clean water, restoring the health of ecosystems, connecting people to the water, and inspiring economic growth and community engagement. Buffalo Niagara Waterkeeper’s Buffalo Blueway is an expanding network of safe and visible public access connections along Buffalo’s waterways. Developed in part with funding from Empire State Development, the interconnected water-trail system provides new and enhanced access to water recreation activities, such as paddling, fishing and boating. The Blueway also establishes direct links to the region’s greenway systems, cultural attractions and commercial corridors.

The team at Dixon Schwabl is responsible for rolling out a multiple-channel marketing campaign for Buffalo Blueway, including website development and hosting, creative services, digital and traditional media placement, social media, content development and public relations.

Our goal is to increase the visibility of and equitable access to the Buffalo Blueway throughout the immediate region and beyond Western New York, and to brand Buffalo as a Great Lakes city, once again,” Buffalo Niagara Waterkeeper Executive Director Jill Jedlicka said. Dixon Schwabl was selected because of their enthusiasm for this project, innovation, dedication to the region, and creative expertise, and we are thrilled that they will help make this vision a reality.”

This is an exciting time for the Buffalo Blueway as it undergoes the most significant changes in its history, and we are thrilled to partner with Buffalo Niagara Waterkeeper to help elevate its awareness of Buffalo as a waterfront city,” said Mike Schwabl, president of Dixon Schwabl. Our fully integrated marketing communications team is excited to collaborate with Buffalo Niagara Waterkeeper, and I am confident that our partnership will bring exceptional results.”

This additional client win comes on the heels of Dixon Schwabl opening an office in the iconic Electric Tower in downtown Buffalo in September 2018. Last summer, Dixon Schwabl also added Erie Canal Harbor Development Corporation for a five-year branding, website development, marketing and public relations project focused on Canalside and the Outer Harbor on Buffalo’s waterfront.

Dixon Schwabl has also recently added three new clients to its growing roster. Frontier Communications, Apex Tool Group and American University have all signed into partnership with the agency.

Dixon Schwabl is the agency of record for Frontier Communications’ commercial business. The agency is responsible for strategy development, creative services, content marketing, social media, media buying, digital and marketing automation, and analytics.

The Dixon Schwabl team is responsible for media relations, influencer relations and trade show support for GearWrench, as well media relations, trade show support, influencer relations, content development and social media support for Crescent Tools. Apex Tool Group, based in Sparks, Maryland, is one of the largest worldwide producers of industrial hand and power tools, tool storage, drill chucks, chain and electronic soldering products. Apex serves a multitude of global markets, including automotive, aerospace, electronics, energy, hardware, industrial and consumer retail.

American University in Washington, District of Columbia, has selected Dixon Schwabl to manage its media buying, reporting and management for the School of Communications, College of Arts & Sciences, School of International Service and School of Public Affairs.
