Full-service advertising, marketing and public relations agency Dixon Schwabl is pleased to announce five new hires: Amanda Maxim as media strategist, Melanie Bracaglia as senior media planner/buyer, Michael Foster as senior web developer, Robin Merrill Lorenzo as senior copywriter and Madison Dixon-Schwabl as executive assistant.
As media strategist, Maxim oversees all media activities for Frontier Communications in all markets across the United States. She works closely with the traditional and digital media buying teams, as well as the account services and analytics departments, to ensure the completion of all media campaigns.
Maxim joins Dixon Schwabl from Pro-MECH Learning systems, where she served as the director of sales and marketing, overseeing all company sales and marketing activities. She earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in marketing from SUNY Fredonia. She resides in Fairport with her husband, Micah, and their twin boys Logan and Carter.
In her role as senior media planner/buyer, Bracaglia uses her strategizing skills to maintain schedules, promotions and media buys. She works exclusively on the Frontier Communications account and with the client to achieve and exceed media buying goals. Bracaglia rejoined Dixon Schwabl in 2016, having served as the agency’s media director in 2004. Previously, she worked for a variety of communications companies in the Greater Rochester area, including Butler/Till, Tipping Point Communications and Gannett.
Outside of work, Bracaglia volunteers for the Ad Council for Organ Donation. She received her bachelor’s degree in communications from CUNY Queen’s College and resides in West Henrietta with her husband, Bart.
As senior web developer, Foster works daily with art directors, writers and marketing analysts to develop interactive solutions for clients. He is also responsible for using coding, design, and content management systems to build email pages and banner ads. Other responsibilities include testing digital solutions across specified devices and browsers to perfect the user experience.
Foster has more than 12 years of professional experience in the web development industry, most recently serving as senior software engineer at Pathway Genomics, where he worked with a team of developers to create and update internal and client-facing web applications, APIs and tools. Foster earned his bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of Texas at Austin. He resides in Pittsford.
In her role as senior copywriter, Lorenzo works primarily with the account, creative and public relations departments to create targeted, comprehensive and integrated communications campaigns. She then develops these concepts into strategic, conversational copy to help clients achieve their business objectives.
Prior to joining the agency, Lorenzo spent more than 20 years as a senior copywriter both at local ad agencies and as a freelance writer. In that time, she gained expertise in several diverse industries, developing messaging for clients like Bausch + Lomb, Kodak, ESL Federal Credit Union and Excellus. Most recently, Robin spent four years in corporate health care communications, serving as senior communications specialist and communications consultant in provider communications at UnitedHealthcare. Lorenzo earned her bachelor’s degree from SUNY Geneseo and resides in Brighton with her husband, Luke, and their children, Levi, Lucia and Lydia.
As executive assistant, Dixon-Schwabl keeps the executive team running smoothly by maintaining schedules and managing client and visitor needs. She works closely with the Dixon Schwabl leadership team to coordinate appointments, conferences and travel arrangements in addition to assisting team members with research projects. Prior to joining the agency, Dixon-Schwabl spent several months in the classroom as a student teacher in schools throughout Rochester, most recently serving as a preschool teacher at Doodlebugs.
Dixon-Schwabl earned her bachelor’s degree in childhood and special education from St. John Fisher College. She resides in Canandaigua.
