Julianna Monacelli
Supervisor, Consumer Public Relations
Why did you choose a career in public relations?
I always loved sharing news with others and keeping them updated on the latest trends and headlines, and ever since I can remember I’ve loved to write. When I was 10, I started a neighborhood newspaper that I was the editor in chief of. I hired “reporters” that covered different beats and then went from door to door selling subscriptions to my neighbors.
If you could bring one person to dinner with you, who would you bring?
My grandma, Thelma. She passed away when I was in college and every day I think about how much I miss her in my life.
What are some activities you enjoy participating in outside of work?
Any activity that involves spending time with my amazing family, skiing, spinning, painting and spending time on Canandaigua Lake. Although, lately my activities have consisted of reading “Pinkalicious” 15 times a day, playing dress up and dancing to toddler tunes!
When you were young, what was a dream or aspiration you had for when you grew up?
I wanted to be on TV and I remember sitting in front of the TV crying to my mom because I couldn’t understand why my mom couldn’t just “take me to television.”
What college did you go to?
Emerson College in Boston.
