Dixon Schwabl basket raffle raises more than $400 for United Way
During the second week of May, Dixon Schwabl kicked off the summer by participating in its first-ever gift basket raffle to raise money for United Way’s campaign. Gift baskets were donated from Shear Ego, Clear Channel Radio, Jackie O Salon, Midtown Athletic Club, Terri Malone and Weight Loss for Wellness, The Strong National Museum of Play, and Lauren Dixon and Mike Schwabl. This was just one additional way Dixon Schwabl worked together to support United Way and our community.
Thanks to the Dixon Schwabl team’s strong support and lively participation, the agency raised more than $400. Another big thank you to the generous individuals who donated gift baskets and for helping to make it happen!

Charles Benoit participates in National Read Aloud Day
March 7 was National Read Aloud Day, and Charles Benoit, senior copywriter at Dixon Schwabl, participated via Skype with students from West Clark Community Schools in Sellersburg, Indiana. He is an award-winning author, currently working on his fifth book. Charles spent the afternoon reading from two of his books, “You,” a young-adult novel told in second-person point of view, as well as his new book, “Fall From Grace,” out in early May. He also answered questions, talked about writing and reading, and gave each student a copy of “You.”

Dixon Schwabl donates clothing and shoes to ABVI-Goodwill
Over a two-week period, employees were asked to consider donating gently used clothing and shoes to ABVI-Goodwill through Dixon Schwabl’s internal donation drive. More than 400 pounds of clothing were donated in just the first week alone! Thank you to all of our generous employees that participated, giving their clothes a new life while helping to fund the important community initiatives that ABVI-Goodwill leads in our region. More than 1,000 pounds were donated throughout the campaign!
