Get Inspired with TED Talks

I have a confession – I’m borderline obsessed with TED Talks. If you’re not familiar with them, they’re short videos, often shared through storytelling, that reveal some nugget of knowledge or “idea worth spreading” on almost any topic or discipline you can imagine (AND without boring you death). I dream about one day coming up with an idea that might grant me the chance to speak in my very own TED Talk, but for now I immerse myself in hearing other people’s stories and ideas about changing attitudes, lives and the world.

Hitting a Wall

Picture this!  A first-time mom goes into a store to start a baby registry. Her list in hand has the typical items: bottles, stroller, car seat, crib and diapers, lots of diapers! When she gets the registry gun at the front desk and approaches the first section, there’s a floor to ceiling wall … of bottles. She looks the wall up and down then quickly walks back up to the front of the store, drops off the registry gun and walks out the door.
