Benches on Parade
In 2010, we teamed up with The Big Parade to produce Benches on Parade, a summer-long event that brought together Rochester area businesses, artists, students and residents for a celebration of creativity that was both fun and functional. Local businesses and organizations purchased 115 fiberglass benches, which artists and student groups then decorated. The benches were later auctioned off, with a portion of the proceeds going to benefit 3 local not-for-profits. We produced all the collateral for the event—everything from sponsorship acquisition materials to the final Thank You print ad—created and maintained the website and blog, handled all public relations and media placement, produced pre- and post-launch TV and radio spots, organized and hosted parties and related events, and created the accompanying commemorative book. $250,000 was raised for the community though the Benches on Parade program with an estimated economic impact of $1,500,000.
